An estimate. Diagonal laying and many angles increase waste. Adhesive consumption depends on trowel notch and tile size (often 3–6 kg/m²). Grout depends greatly on tile size and joint width (often ~0.3–1 kg/m²) – adjust the value. m² per pack is on the product.

How the calculator works
- Material: area × (1 + waste) ÷ m² per pack = number of packs.
- Waste: chosen by laying – straight about 8%, diagonal about 12%.
- Adhesive (tiles): area × kg/m² → kg and bags (20 kg).
Tiles: adhesive and grout
Adhesive consumption depends on the trowel notch and tile size – reckon about 3–6 kg/m² (guide value 4 kg/m²). Large tiles and a coarse notch use more. On top of the adhesive comes grout, which depends on joint width and tile size – always keep a little extra.
Keep this in mind
Buy a pack extra – material from the same batch can be hard to get later, and you want a reserve if something breaks. Always check the m² per pack and the adhesive consumption on the product.

- Diagonal laying and rooms with many angles create more cuts. Add up to 10–15% and leave a margin for fitting against walls and pipes.

- It varies by product and is stated on the pack – enter the value in the calculator and the number of packs is calculated.
